The Delaware Department of Justice's Consumer Protection Unit launched a personal data privacy portal for individuals and businesses to better understand implications of the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act. The DOJ will offer additional resources on a rolling basis, but urged businesses to "begin preparing now to ensure that they are ready by the first day the new law becomes enforceable" 1 Jan.

Key agenda items include an update from CPPA Executive Director Ashkan Soltani regarding California's adequacy with other jurisdictions and potential board action on rulemaking for automated decision-making technology, risk assessments, cybersecurity audits, insurance and updating rules for existing legislation.
The European Commission issued a request for information to Amazon under the EU Digital Services Act. The Commission is seeking information on Amazon's compliance with DSA transparency provisions related to its product recommendation systems and if customers are able to opt out of being profiled by the recommendation system. Additionally, Amazon is asked to provide information on the design and deployment of Amazon Store's Ad Library, and information pertaining to its risk assessment report.
The European Commission will issue assessments for defining high-risk artificial intelligence products under the EU AI Act, relative to economic sectoral rules, Euractiv reports. The key dynamic under the assessments is that they will designate all AI-based cybersecurity tools and emergency services components in internet-connected devices as high risk.
