The report provides an update on compliance measures and notices given since the act went into effect 1 July 2023. Survey finds some consumers willing to share data with brands 'on their own terms'

Being transparent with consumers and promising not to sell their customers' data to third parties is a way of building trust, MediaPost reports, citing a survey conducted by consumer research company Attest. Per the survey, approximately one-third of U.S. consumers will decline nonessential cookies if asked and 58% would opt out of mailing lists.
