Sweden's DPA publishes FAQ guide for EU-US data transfers

Sweden's data protection authority, the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, published an FAQ regarding transfers of personal data to the U.S. Questions focus on the state of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework in light of recent political developments in the U.S., such as the White House removing Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board's Democrats. Researchers find approximately 1M Android devices contain malware

Cybersecurity company Human's Satori Threat Intelligence and Research Team found approximately 1 million Android devices, including TV streaming devices, contain malware that could compromise users' sensitive personal information, Wired reports. The BBB National Programs' Children's Advertising Review Unit said it successfully worked with language app Buddy AI to bring its generative AI system into compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Draft EU CSAM regulation revised to tighten rules around scanning for material

The Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union scrapped a provision of the child sexual abuse material law allowing law enforcement to look through people's private messages for violations, Euractiv reports.
