Norway's data protection board, Personvernnemnda, ruled in favor of Meta's appeal of daily fines imposed by Norway's data protection authority, Datatilsynet, for ongoing use of behavioral advertising. The ruling allowed Datatilsynet to uphold its ban on behavioral advertising, however, Personvernnemnda's decision means that daily fines may not be levied by the DPA in cross-border cases.
