US states file lawsuit against TikTok over its impact on underage users

Fourteen U.S. state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against TikTok that alleged the app can be addictive to underage users and affect their mental health, The Associated Press reports. The filing within the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia claimed the company intentionally uses addictive features to encourage users to continue to view content despite the potential harm it could have on consumers.

DPAs for Algeria and Mauritania sign collaboration agreement

Algeria's National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data and the Personal Data Protection Authority of Mauritania will collaborate to bolster data protection, AL24 News reports.
