Understand Utah Privacy Requirements.
The Utah Consumer Privacy Act (“UCPA”) establishes consumer privacy rights and compliance requirements for covered businesses involving personal data, consumer rights, privacy notices, targeted advertising, sensitive data, data sales, and other privacy practices.
The UCPA became effective December 31, 2023. Organizations subject to the law should evaluate its requirements in connection with their existing privacy practices and determine whether current processes for handling personal data and consumer privacy rights appropriately address Utah’s requirements.
CLIClaw‘s Utah Privacy Compliance Solutions and Resources help organizations understand Utah’s privacy requirements, evaluate their existing practices, and identify the processes and controls that may be needed to support compliance.
