Understand and Manage Connecticut Data Broker Requirements.
Connecticut’s new data broker framework establishes requirements for qualifying data brokers involving registration, disclosures, consumer deletion requests, and other ongoing compliance responsibilities. The framework was enacted through Public Act 26-64 in 2026 and includes the development of a centralized mechanism through which consumers will be able to submit deletion requests.
The law takes effect October 1, 2026, with important requirements being implemented on a phased schedule. Organizations that sell or license brokered personal data in Connecticut should evaluate whether the law applies to their activities and prepare for registration and other applicable requirements.
CLIClaw‘s Connecticut Data Broker Compliance Solutions and Resources help organizations understand Connecticut’s requirements, evaluate potential applicability, and prepare for the processes and documentation that may be needed to support compliance.
