When do Data Brokers Have to Start Using DROP?

Key dates include:

• January 1, 2026.  DROP becomes available to consumers.

• August 1, 2026.  Data brokers must begin retrieving and processing DROP requests.

• Every 45 days thereafter.  Ongoing access and processing required.
